Maria's Tea Room

Enjoy Coffee Time in the Old World
Call 641-620-9463 (ext. 204) or email tearoom@pellahistorical.com to make your reservation.
Maria’s Tea Room is open in the historic Scholte House in Pella, the home of Pella’s founder Hendrik Peter Scholte and his wife Maria. Along with a dose of Dutch goodies comes a piece of sad Pella history.
While you enjoy a Dutch "koffie tijd" with items from Pella's bakeries, meat markets, and chocolate makers, you'll hear the story of Maria Scholte, her precious pieces of Delft, and how they ended up making a path from her old house to her new one. In addition, you'll be able to view those original pieces that were her connection to the Old World.
Maria’s Tea Room is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, by reservation only, with seatings at 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Well-behaved children age 5 and older are welcome. The cost is $12 per person.
Please note that Maria's Tea Room hours and prices change during Tulip Time.
A credit card is required to make your reservation. This is just to hold your spot and it will not be charged. However, if your party or any members of your party do not come and provide less than 24 hours notice, we will charge the card $12 per person who did not attend the tea.
