Wyatt Earp Day

Saturday, September 23

10:00am-4:00pm

Pella Historical Village

Fall is almost here, and with the changing seasons comes Wyatt Earp Day at the Historical Village! Take a tour of the Wyatt Earp Experience at the famous western lawman's boyhood home. Meet Wyatt and his brothers, hear from an Iowa author exploring our state's hidden gems, and enjoy high-energy bluegrass music!

On both Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd, learn from artisans like wooden shoe makers, blacksmiths, and quilters. They bring the Village to life, depicting what Pella may have looked like when Wyatt lived here in the nineteenth century!

Bouquet Day

Members: Thursday, Sept. 28

Public: Friday, Sept. 29 & Saturday, Sept. 30

Pella Historical Village

It's almost time for us to remove annuals from our gardens in preparation for planting tulip bulbs, and we want you to take home some of the beauty for yourself!

Please enter through the gift shop. Bring your own scissors or clippers along with a bag, box, or basket to carry your bouquets home. NO DIGGING, but you may clip whatever blooms you'd like. Or, feel free to gather and bring home seeds to plant next year.

Museum Members with their membership cards can join us from 10am-5pm on Thursday, September 28; donations are appreciated. We will open Bouquet Day to the public on Friday, September 29, from 10am-5pm and Saturday, September 30, from 10am-4pm. Admission for bouquet-gathering is $5.00 for non-members.
